On a day when America recorded 88,592 new COVID-19 cases, with 229,698 dead and over 9 million infected—outstripping all other countries—as 17 sates report record COVID-19 hospitalizations, Donald J. Trump, Jr. told FOX Anchor Laura Ingram, America’s COVID-19 deaths have dropped to “almost nothing.”  And besides, Dad says we’re making the turn. 

That are these folks thinking?!

Many Americans vote for Donald Trump because of his, “successful handling of The Economy.”  I have neither the inclination nor energy to study the facts behind this claim.  Dartmouth A.B. summa cum laude, Rhodes Scholar, Yale Law J.D. and Secretary of Labor, Robert Reich has.

When a United States President leaves office on January20, without regard for political affiliation, with cordiality and respect, the Chief Executive’s torch is passed forward.  If Donald J. Trump fails reelection, will this iconic, two-and-a-half centuries old tradition repeat?

Until now in American History, how many times has this question seemed relevant?

Elections stir up Republicans’ frets that Democrats would abolish the Second Amendment.  A Democrat, I support the Second Amendment. 

This said, assault weapons and pistols or manufactured, intended and purchased for the sole purpose of killing people! To invest in an AK 47 or 44 Magnum without intending to kill a person or persons makes as much sense as buying an anchor without owning or intending to own a boat.  Why waste your money?

As, in late September, the second wave of COVID-19 deaths and infections gained traction, President Donald Trump assured Minden, Nevada, Red Cap Minions, “We are rounding the turn.“

In mid-October, President Trump’s fourth Chief of Staff in less than 4 years, Mark Meadows, advised CNN reporter Jake Tapper, “We are not going to control the Pandemic  .  .  .  “  When Tapper asks, “Why are we not going to control the Pandemic?”, Meadows’s reply, “Because it is a  virus just like the Flu  .  .  .  We are making effort to contain it  .  .  .  “

“Rounding the turn,” “not going to control the Pandemic,” “making efforts to contain it.”  Excuse me?  I’m confused.

President Donald J. Trump, “COVID, COVID, COVID, COVID  .  .  .  COVID, COVID, COVID (people) are tired of such negativity.”  And none so tired as the hundreds-of-thousands who died, the millions who suffer, the mothers, fathers, wives, husbands, daughters, sons, sisters, brothers and friends.

To mock victims to stoop below despicable!

Alice In Wonderland’s Queen of Hearts’ standard command for any incurring her displeasure, “Off with their heads!”  His-Would-Be-Royal-Majesty President Donald J. Trump’s kneejerk sentence for all incurring his displeasure, “Lock em’ up!” Joe Scarborough, Lawrence O’Donnell, Hilary Clinton, Hunter and Joe Biden, among others, remain under such indictment.

I am, at the same time, alarmed and sorry for this poor man.

I face a dilemma.  It will make no difference but, seeing human health and lives sacrificed to Fear, I feel compelled to speak.

Failing to pipe all of Barack Obama‘s rats from his Village, proving tragically incapable of leading America through a COVID-19 pandemic, seeing his prospect for reelection inexorably slip toward a cliff, hoping True Believers can pull him back from the edge, The Pied Piper of D.C. stages star-spangled, red-white-and-blue “Campaign Rallies,” tosses out Red Caps and t-shirts, boasts, bullies, clowns, insults—“Pocahontas.” “Sleepy Joe.” “You’re a terrible reporter.” “You ask stupid questions.”—but not one substantive word!

Mocking experts’ counsel to wear masks and maintain social distance, like the rats and children of Hamelin, Donald Trump hazards the health and lives of followers with shoulder-to-shoulder, back-to-back COVID 19 “Super-Spreader” events in homage to a single Monster Ego!

As numbers of deaths approaching 250,000, infections 8,500,000 and COVID 19 continues mushrooming across America, death threats compel a man who devotes his life to battling infectious disease and public health, Dr. Anthony Fauci, to walk with bodyguards.  I’m stunned to hear President Donald Trump says, “People are tired of hearing Fauci and all these idiots!”

Could such baffling pronouncements reflect a sane mind?

Because a small, radical group of Muslims hurt and kill non-Muslims, Donald Trump barred Muslims from America.  A small, radical group of Americans, the Ku Klux Klan hurt, killed, and would again, hurt and kill non-Whites.  Indications are that with permission (“Stand down and stand by.”?) White Supremacist, neo-Nazis and assorted White Militias would hurt and kill non-Whites.

What happened to?
