After deploying the National Guard into LA and DC, and threatening to send them to Chicago, Memphis, and Portland, Donald Trump commanded his Military Brass to go after “the enemy within.”  This order amounts to a declaration of Martial Law against Trump’s enemies: Liberals! 

This is undemocratic, un-American, and terrifying!

Some time back, I realized that Donald Trump’s often bewildering, maddening behavior is rooted in his having never been loved.  Deprived of this essential human need, Donald never learned to love.  Today, the haunting awareness of these deep-seated flaws trigger three-year-old temper tantrums acted against innocent victims.

At Charles Kirk’s memorial service, in a tearful, heart-wrenching expression of love, Erika, Charlie’s widow, said, “Our Savior said, ‘Father forgive them for they know not what they do.’ That man.  That young man.  I forgive him.  I forgive him because it is what Christ did in his. (sic)  What Charlie would do.  The answer to hate is not hate.  The answer we know from the gospel is love and always love.”

I believe Erika’s expression of compassion struck Donald’s deepest fear like a lightning bolt!  Concluding his accolades for Charles Kirk, Donald felt compelled to confess, “Charlie said he did not hate his opponents.  He wanted the best for them.  That’s where I disagree with Charlie. I hate my opponents, and I do not want the best for them.  I’m sorry.  I’m sorry Erika.”

The effort to see the tortured child yearning for love cowering beneath Donald’s words and actions stresses my capacity for love past it’s breaking point.

Truth be known, who among us lives, can live, by Erica Kirk’s example.

Donlad Trump boasted, “I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn’t lose any voters.  OK?”

It’s maddening and terrifying that MAGA radicals continue supporting Donald despite his chronic verbal barrage of insults, character assassinations, and baldfaced lies.

In a Hallmark act of a wanna-be dictator, Donald Trump ordered Attorney General Bondi to indict—Trump-up charges—against his opponents.

The United States Attorney General is “we the People’s” chief counselor. She is not Donald Trump’s taxpayer-paid personal attorney.

Donald Trump’s demand that ABC fire Jimmy Kimmel or lose its broadcast license was blatant extortion!  With Donald’s assault on the First Amendment unstopped, America was on the path to Dictatorship.

It is essential to remember that Freedom of Speech is not about the veracity of our opinions and beliefs, but our right to express them, good or bad, right or wrong.  There is no better demonstration of this than Trump’s unchallenged litany of lies.

My belief is, framers of the Bill of Rights put Freedom of Speech First for a specific reason: “Government of the People, by the People, for the People” rests on the bedrock of Free Speech!

So long as Donald Trump’s assault on the First Amendment continued, all of America’s Freedoms remained under threat of abolition!

After dodging Vietnam with “bone spurs and his feet” and calling armed services personnel “suckers and losers,” seeing Donald Trump salute is repugnant as farting in church.

Donald Trump’s pernicious diatribes of lies, insults, and third-grade name calling go unchallenged.

I feel affronted by depictions of Jesus Christ as a six-foot-one, fair-skinned, auburn-haired, male emerging, coiffured and scented, from a Parisian Salon.  Historical facts and common-sense fly in the face of this caricature.

In 2001 British forensic facial reconstruction expert Richard Neave employed a first century Israeli skull, clay modeling, and understood physical traits to construct a model of a Jewish men of Jesus’s era.

From the best available evidence, the face of an average Jewish man of Jesus Christ’s era did not resemble Matthew McConaughey.

Donald Trump, September 10, posted, “In honor of (Conservative Activist) Charlie Kirk, a truly Great American Patriot, I am ordering all American flags throughout the United States lowered to Half Mast until Sunday evening at 6:00 p.m.”

After evangelical Christian and Rightwing Firebrand Vance Boelter executed Minnesota House Speaker Democrat Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark, June 14, the President offered no comparable sentiment nor gesture.

Why?

For millennia before the Book of Mormon’s father Lehigh set sail westward, wheels were commonplace throughout the Near, Middle, and Far East.

It seems to me that, soon after making landfall and dragging sea chests and portmanteaus up some alien strand, one of the castaways would exclaim, “We need wheelbarrows.  We need wagons.  We need wheels!”  And set to work crafting the requisite parts!

Curiously, over the past five centuries no wheel or evidence of a wheel predating Columbus—not a broken rim, splintered spoke, pictograph—has been found in the Western Hemisphere.

I have to wonder.
