We’ve seen the cartoon character with a Devil on one shoulder and an Angel on the other.
For me on one shoulder,
Ignorance,*
breeds superstition,
growing into fear,
triggering anger and hatred.
On the other,
Wisdom,
based in truth,
brings understanding,
expressed as compassion and love.
*Ignorance not in the pejorative sense, but as “to ignore,” lack knowledge, fail to understand.
